Silica Sand

An Essential Industrial Raw Material

Silica Sand, also known as quartz sand, is composed primarily of silicon dioxide and is known for its high chemical purity, hardness and inertness. Formed through natural weathering processes, this granular material plays a vital role in industrial applications where strength, filtration or high-temperature resistance is required.

GMDC’s Silica Sand reserves are located at Rajpardi in the Bharuch district of Gujarat, one of the state's key mineral belts.
