With 1,152 million tonnes of geological reserves, Baitarni West is GMDC’s largest coal asset. Its high-calorific value and proximity to industrial corridors make it a dependable fuel source for power generation and energy-intensive sectors. The site’s connectivity to established rail infrastructure ensures efficient, large-scale distribution.

Contributing 547 million tonnes of reserves, the Burapahar mine complements GMDC’s coal portfolio with quality thermal coal and strong logistical viability. A dedicated rail spur is planned, enabling faster evacuation and direct supply to key consumption zones.
